fringe foods, bioart, uncommon modes of food preparation & ingestion
I work in the kitchen. My art practice and scholarship explore how the experience of eating changes when technologies are being eaten. My book, Bioart Kitchen: Art, Feminism and Technoscience (IB Tauris, 2016), emerges from my work at the University of California Santa Cruz (Ph.D in the History of Consciousness and MFA in Digital Art and New Media). I am a Lecturer at UNSW Art & Design in Sydney, Australia. Find my blog, including upcoming public talks and exhibitions, here.
